We are a small collective of young researchers and hackers scattered across India and APAC.

We belong to a generation of people who grew up almost entirely on the Internet — between obscure forums, IRC logs, webrings and Discord servers, we found our other homes.

Everyone was just a username and the things they made. We learned from strangers whose real names we never knew, and in the process developed rather unreasonable fascinations with computers.

Geography rarely mattered, and somehow many of us eventually found one another.

Principles

Computing has been reduced from an intellectual pursuit to an instrument of economic mobility in this country. We, as a collective, reject that reduction.

We believe that:

1. Computing is an instrument of science, art, and human creativity, and has intrinsic worth.
2. The purpose of technical culture should not be confused with its proxies for success.
3. A relationship with computers rooted in curiosity, craftsmanship, and the free exchange of knowledge is worth preserving.

We are an invite-only community. If our philosophy resonates with you and you have interesting work to show for it, send us an email with a little about yourself and what you've been working on.

You can get to know us through the things we've made. Here's our blogroll.

We're always on the lookout for curious young hackers and researchers. Rabbit Holes 2026 is one of our ongoing efforts to find and encourage them.
